COLA, a leading laboratory accreditation organization, is proud to announce the appointment of Thomas J. Madejski, MD, to its esteemed Board of Directors. Dr. Madejski, a prominent and highly respected figure in the field of medicine, brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise, having been elected to the American Medical Association (AMA) Board of Trustees in June 2020.
Dr. Madejski’s journey in organized medicine spans more than two decades, during which he has made significant contributions to healthcare leadership and advocacy. He has represented New York in the AMA House of Delegates for an impressive 15 years, solidifying his commitment to advancing medical practices and improving patient care.
In 2015, Dr. Madejski’s exceptional contributions led to his election to the AMA Council of Medical Service. His leadership extends to several prestigious positions, including a past presidency of the Orleans County Medical Society and various roles within the Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY), where he served as president, vice president and treasurer. Dr. Madejski’s influence in healthcare politics is further underscored by his recognition on the “Health Care Power 50” list by City & State New York magazine.
Currently, Dr. Madejski serves as chief of medicine at Medina Memorial Hospital in Medina, N.Y., and as medical director at The Villages of Orleans Health and Rehabilitation Center in Albion, N.Y. He also generously shares his knowledge and experience as a clinical instructor in medicine at the University of Rochester and as a clinical instructor in pharmacy at the University of Buffalo.
