COLA Welcomes Sheila Rege, MD, to Its Board of Directors

Sheila Rege, MD, is a board-certified radiation oncologist trained in nuclear medicine and is based in Washington state’s Tri-Cities region. She was elected to the American Medical Association (AMA) Board of Trustees in 2025 and has held numerous leadership positions within the AMA and other professional organizations, including chair of the AMA Council on Medical Service and president of the American College of Radiation Oncology.

Dr. Rege founded Northwest Cancer Clinic and has practiced in physician-owned, hospital-based and academic settings. Her experience includes cancer program leadership, research, health technology assessment and emerging artificial intelligence and data ventures. She also serves as an independent director of Mirion Technologies and has extensive experience in corporate governance, audit and compensation committees.

Dr. Rege holds a Master of Science in Finance, a BA in Biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley and an MD from the University of California, Los Angeles. She is a recipient of the American College of Radiation Oncology Gold Medal and the AMA Women Physicians Section Inspiration Award.
