As of July 1, 2025, Melissa J. Garretson, MD, became one of the American Medical Association (AMA) appointed members to the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation Board.
Dr. Garretson is a board-certified pediatrician in Fort Worth, Texas, elected to the AMA Board of Trustees in June 2024. She practices pediatric emergency medicine and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
